Poison

If poison calls for a saving throw and the target fails that saving throw, the target has the poisoned condition for 1 hour unless specified otherwise in the text description for the poison effect. 

The poisoned condition can be cured by casting lesser restoration. 

Certain poisons in this campaign cause ability score damage even though this is not described in the core D&D rules. This ability score damage lasts as long as the poison condition lasts, usually one hour unless otherwise specified. Sufficiently low ability scores can incapacitate the target. Reaching a zero Constitution ability score effectively reduces the target's hit points to zero, and the target must begin to make death saves. The target can either die or stabilize as normal in this case.
